The total number of passengers reached 29.4 million people, which is 28.1% more than in 2023, when 22.9 million passengers were transported. This significant growth is associated with the expansion of the airport network and the company's strategic partnerships.
The main impetus for this growth was the international airport of Zayed, which provides travelers with the opportunity to connect to more than 125 destinations worldwide. As part of the airport's development, 29 new routes are planned to open by 2024. This will strengthen the position of the emirate as a leading global aviation hub.
Among the new airlines joining the network of the international airport of Zayed are all new carriers, including British Airways, which will begin its regular flights in 2024. Continuous expansion of the airport network and the aim to provide passengers with a world-class level of service are key strategic objectives of the company "Abu Dhabi Airports."
